John Todd Davis is the best dentist I've ever had, he is so gentle and extraordinary, he explains everything he's going to do, and he jokes around with his patients. Would definitely recommend :)
I had two of my top teeth on the right side removed today. when I went back with a lot of anxiety and as the dentist was giving me shots my eyes were watering from anxiety. This was when I realized the dentist is not all that chatty or comforting with his patients. After the shots he went on to check another patient and came back once I was numb. When he started cracking one of the two teeth and I felt a horrible stabbing pain and it was not the pressure or anxiety. I ask him to stop he did and he said in a very frustrated voice " your going to have to cool it alright!" He gave me some more shots and then tossed his gloves and mask on a table. He went on to do a root canal on another patient. The whole time I layed there thinking should I leave ? even though I couldn't he already cracked a tooth open. So I waited about 20 min and he came back in. I was prepared for him to be angry with me. Whelp, he shocked me. He came back and with a calm voice said that anxiety can cause you to be tense and cause the pain but also it's possible I could be feeling the pain. This time I didn't feel anything until he found an abscess and cleaned it. I felt better knowing that he wasn't angry with me for telling him I was in pain. It only took him a matter of minutes to get the two teeth out and I have to say he did a great job. Him and his staff are very social but they did a great job. I will go back to have my fillings done. Sometimes a friendly/social staff make people feel better about being nervous.
I was terrified to go to the dentist as I had not been in a while and like many people have anxiety about going to see the dentist. It was my first time there and they were so nice! I was only supposed to be a consult since it was a cancelation and they squeezed me in but they ended up fixing a tooth, completed a root canal and did all this in barely over an hour. My appointment was at 215 and I was in my car by 345. They are wonderful people and I did not feel any pain or discomfort and was truly made to feel at home like I had been going there for years. Awesome job guys and thanks!
Friendly staff and caring doctor, but be ready to wait an hour or longer with each visit. They always seem to be way behind regardless of time of day.
